"The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned."
(Matthew 4:16, NIV)

The mission of Living Faith Church is making disciples through the preaching and teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The primary mission of the Living Faith congregation is faith development. We do this through:

  • Reaching out and receiving people into the congregation.
  • Helping them strengthen their relationship to God through Christ Jesus.
  • Nurturing them in the Christian faith and equipping them for lives of discipleship.
  • Sending them out to live as God's people — extending the church and helping make the world more loving and just.

Our Core Values

1.    Faith

We are committed to Faith in Jesus Christ as expressed in the Heb 11:6  “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

2.     Prayer

We are committed to continual Prayer as expressed in Col 4:2  “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;”

3.    Worship

We are committed to faithfully offering our worship before God as expressed in  Ps 95:  “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”

4.    Biblical Teaching

We are committed to relevant Biblical teaching that transforms lives as commissioned in  Matt 3:20
“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded

5.     Outreach

We are committed to bringing people to a personal faith in Christ as commanded in  Luke 14:23. “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.”

6.      Giftedness

We are committed to utilizing the giftedness of all believers men and women, who are called by God as expressed in1Cor 12: 4. “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same spirit.”

7.      Change

We are committed, in an ever changing culture, to effectively present the unchanging Gospel as expressed in Heb 13:8. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday ,and today, and forever.”

8.    Excellence

We are committed to excellence and intelligence in everything that we do in worship, whether naturally or spiritually.  1Cor 14:23 “If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?”

We believe that worship of God should be intelligent; therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God.  The Bible clearly states that spiritual gifts are for the edification of the body and that they are to be exercised in agreement with the Word. We believe that speaking with tongues is a gift of the Holy Spirit.  However, we do not practice speaking in tongues in a manner that would be disruptive while preaching or Bible study is in progress, because the Holy Spirit would interrupt Himself. God is not the author of confusion. These gifts are encouraged in more diverse settings, e.g. praise and worship services and small groups where their benefit can accomplish the purpose for which they have been given - the edification of the body of Christ.
